Understanding by Design Sites

UbD Exchange
Understanding by Design —  is a framework for designing curriculum, assessments, and instruction using a “backward design” approach. Development of units starts with the enduring understandings and essential questions. The second stage is determining what acceptable evidence will be to know that the students truly understands. The final stage then focuses on developing the instructional to ensure learning. One of the available tools, the Understanding by Design Exchange, is a Web site dedicated to the design of curriculum, assessment, and instruction that leads students to deep understanding of content.
