This is a very informative web site for all things educational.

Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards & Student Testing
This site focuses on CRESST programs and research programs.

College Board Online
National association of schools and colleges offering services and programs in the areas of assessment, guidance, admission, placement, financial aid, curriculum, and research

Council for Chief State School Officers
This is the web site for information on programs and resources from the Chief State School Officers.

Educator Reference Desk (formerly known as ERIC)
The Educator's Reference Desk builds on over a quarter century of experience providing high-quality resources and services to the education community. This site was created by the Information Institute of Syracuse, the people who created AskERIC, the Gateway to Educational Materials, and the Virtual Reference Desk. http://www.eduref.org/

Exemplars
This site has sample mathematics and science performance assessments. The Exemplars organization offers a yearly subscription to math and science publications and offers professional development workshops for school districts.

FairTest , the National Center for Fair and Open Testing, is a national organization focusing on the abuses of standardized testing and assessment reform.

National Assessment Governing Board
The National Assessment Governing (NAGB) sets policies for the National Assessment of Educational Progress.

National Association of Test Directors
Primarily the information is about the organization itself, but there are numerous links, including the following topic areas: - General K-12 Assessment Resources; - Curriculum Standards; - ERIC Systems Resources; - Regional Educational Laboratory Network; - US Government Resources; - Prof Orgs. Related to Assessment & Evaluation; - Grant Seekers Information Available on the Internet. Includes links to online assessment and evaluation resources.

National Council of  Teachers of English
Looks like a good site! Under "Departments" there is a subheading "Teaching Ideas," which if clicked on shows a further subheading of "Assessment." Within "Assessment" there are some "war stories: from teachers and some ideas on assessment techniques. There is no "links" section, but under "affiliates" there are a lot of e-mail addresses and links by state.

North Central Association
NCA is a non-governmental voluntary membership association of educational institutions located in a 19-state region that includes the Navajo Nation and the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. As a regional accrediting association, NCA is recognized by the United States Department of Education.

NCA CASI is an accreditation division of AdvancED, the parent organization for the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI),  the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), and the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE).

Northwest Regional Education Lab
This is the home page of the Northwest Regional Education Lab in Portland, Oregon. Check out the bibliography of authentic assessments by subject area.
