4-H Projects

Students create arts and crafts projects weekly to submit to 4-H.  The themes of the crafts are based on holidays, school wide literacy themes, and monthly classroom lesson units.  Students enjoy making the crafts and displaying them inside and outside the classroom for everyone to see.  Here are a few of our past projects.

Black History Month Wreath

This project highlighted African American inventors.  Each student placed the name of an inventor with a pictograph of their invention on their hands.

St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold Rainbow

Each student created their own rainbow.  Placing beads on pipe cleaners was a great way to strengthen fine motor skills.  This craft was also a great opportunity to work on color recognition.

School Wide Literacy Theme

For the Spring theme we chose BUGS!

Earth Day Wreath
