Literacy
During the
school wide literacy theme our class chose
the book Alligator Baby by Robert
Munsch. After reading the book we completed
activities that focused on identifying the
animals in the story. We first colored
pictures of alligators, gorillas, and
seals. Then we matched pictographs of the
animals to the ones that we colored. After
becoming familiar with the pictographs we
placed them in our sensory bins that are
filled with rice and beans. Students were
then asked to dig through the beans to find
the pictographs and match them with a larger
set of pictographs.
