What is it?
A curriculum developed to focus on
pre-vocational, daily living, leisure,
communication, and community based
instruction. This curriculum promotes
independence while preparing students for
post-secondary adult living
Where does it come from?
Our Functional Curriculum is aligned with
the Extended Grade Level Content
Expectations (EGLCE) which currently
addresses participation in the areas of
Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and
Science. This alignment provides our
students’ access to the General Education
Curriculum for the State of Michigan.
