Each year our classroom plants and sells flats of annuals to staff, parents, and family members throughout Bovenschen.  This year we ordered over 2,200 plugs that we planted this March.  Sales will begin in April and continue until all of the flowers have been sold.  This year we have planted:

• Begonias

• Impatiens

• Geraniums

• Portacula

• Gazanias

• Wave Petunias

• Marigolds

• Dianthus

• Zinnias

This continues to be a great project for our students.  We stop and talk about the parts of a plants and the different needs of plants.  We able to work in a lot of science into the planting season.  This job also prepares our students for their transition to Lutz School for Work Experience...where students will also have an opportunity to work in the greenhouse.
