The
Bovenschen PTO is made up of any parent or
staff member who wants to get involved.
There is no president, vice-president, or
any assigned position, except for the
treasurer position. Our current PTO
treasurer is Donna Bletch who is a
Bovenschen parent. She is responsible for
maintaining the PTO account and writing
checks, making deposits, etc. There is no
committee that is responsible for making the
decisions. Decisions are made at the
committee meetings that are open to all
parents and are all held 3-4 times a year,
as plans are made for upcoming events.
Everyone has a voice.

PTO
Budget/Money
The
PTO decides how to spend monies raised (i.e.
pizza kits, nuts, bowling, PTO raffle) at
the committee meetings that are held a few
times during the year. In the past some of
the ways that money has been spent has
included Creoform projects like the Buddy
Card, Gross Motor Room equipment, SXI
Special Olympics, Parent Child Dance,
Christmas Dinner, Family Fun Night,
donations to classrooms, digital cameras,
bereavement expenses, spring camp, classroom
rocking chairs, skating field trips,
therapeutic listening equipment –to name a
few! All the money that is raised comes back
to the students in some form or
fashion.
Please
come and be a part of your child’s school
by being active in the PTO!
