L.A.P's

in partnership with the
Macomb ISD created the
Michigan L.A.P.'s Distance

Was
developed by teachers
for teachers.
-

Michigan history and
natural resources in
their classrooms through
our L.A.P.s program
each year.

Nearly 4,500 fourth
grade teachers use
L.A.P.s in their
classrooms. This is
nearly 80% of all
Michigan fourth grade
teachers.
-
Continues to build
students' appreciation
and knowledge of
Michigan's great outdoor
heritage and history.
-
Has
provided in-service
opportunities for more
than 9,000 educators
-
Subscriptions to the
complimentary Outdoor
Explorers Club
Newsletter A quarterly
newsletter that is sent
to children 12 and
younger has grown over
the past five years from
5,000 to nearly 50,000.
-
More
teachers and children
know about natural
resources and about the
DNR and what it does
then at any other time
in our states history.
