Substitute Employment Information

MISD is currently seeking applicants for substitute teachers and substitute paraprofessionals to work in special education classrooms.

Requirements for substitute teacher:

• Complete an MISD employment application.
• Have a valid or expired teaching certificate or completion of 90 semester hours of satisfactory (2.0 minimum GPA) college credit consolidated at one four-year college or university which is accredited by either a regional accrediting agency or by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) (if applicable).
• Provide proof of state and federal fingerprinting (if applicable).

Requirements for substitute paraprofessional:

• Complete an MISD employment application.
• Minimum of two (2) years community college credit preferred.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applications for substitute teacher and substitute paraprofessional positions may be completed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily in the second floor Human Resources Office at:
