Language Arts

Overview
The Language Arts program at Macomb ISD is based on the Michigan Department of Education English Language Arts Standards and Benchmarks. Our mission is to provide leadership for a balanced literacy program throughout the curriculum equipping students with the communication skills necessary to become literate and informed individuals.

MEAP Writing from Knowledge and Experience Flip book
This document is formatted for back-to-back printing, aligned in a stairstep fashion, folded , and then staped in the middle. Much of the text in this document will appear upside down on your screen, other text will appear disconnected, as though it's on the wrong page when you view it This is not a mistake. It must be this way so that it prints correctly.

MLPP
The MLPP 2000 is an instructional system that provides one way teachers can document and explain what they know about a child's literacy learning and performance levels. 

Profiles in Writing
The fourth annual yearbook is now published featuring student writings from two prompts: "First" and "A Person I Admire."
