LOCATIONS DURING INSTALLATION. This uniformity of installation will
simplify any support questions that you may have.
- The initial user ID is: misd
The initial password is: misd
- The first time you run SRSD02 you will see the error message
"No District Database files found."
- Click Ok. You can then chose your district from the list box
of school districts.
- Once you select your district, the system will create a new,
blank database.
- You are now ready to enter and import student data.
- It is recommended that you change the initial ID and password for
security reasons.
- From the menu, select File/Security File.
- From the user file maintenance screen you may edit, add and
delete user records.
- The add and edit screens allow you to enter and change user ID
and password. It will also allow you to set read/write
authorities.
- A user must have supervisor authority to access the user file
maintenance screen.
- Under the File menu you will notice that there are two import
procedures, one to add new records and another to merge data.
For Macomb County Schools:
- The add new records will add NEW records to the SRSD database from
an ASCII text file that was produced in the format specified by the
State.
- Our SASI enhancement program MISD20W will produce this file.
- The merge data procedure will merge data with existing records in
the SRSD database.
- The merged data must be in an ASCII text file that was
produced in the format specified by the State.
- Our SASI enhancement program MISD20W will produce this file.
It will search the database for a matching entry.
- A record will be considered to be a match if the last name,
first name and birth date are the same.
- Records that do not have a matching record will be written to
a report and will not be added to the database.
