Improving the Intellectual Quality of Student
Performance
The purpose of the MISD Mathematics
Publishing Center is to provide classroom teachers with supplemental
materials. These materials are intended to help improve the intellectual
quality of student performance while, in many cases, preparing students
for the MEAP/HST assessments. The design and development of the
materials are guided by the concept that good test grades are a
byproduct of a well designed curriculum. The materials listed in
this catalogue were produced over the last several years, and are
available to public schools on a cost recovery basis.
The materials in these books are:
- endorsed by testing and evaluation
professionals as "Good Classroom Practice"
- classroom tested at various degrees
and are "Teacher Friendly"
- printed black on white for ease of
duplication
- produced under grants from the State
of Michigan, the Ford Motor Company, and the Ott Foundation
The materials are "works in
progress" so comments and suggestions for improvement are
appreciated.
