 The booklet of approximately 200 pages was developed to assist
parents of Grade 4 students in helping to prepare their students
to be proficient in mathematics and, as a result, to improve
success on statewide assessment in mathematics. It is intended
that this booklet be "user friendly" and appeal to a
variety of families with a wide range of income, educational
background, and interests. The booklet contains: mental
computation practice cards, paper-and-pencil/vocabulary practice
cards, assessment activities, lists of software, Internet lessons,
and a list of children’s literature for learning mathematics.
