 The booklet of approximately 135 pages was developed to assist
teachers in preparing students for statewide testing changes in
the MEAP and MEAP/HST school year. The
purpose in developing this booklet is to provide teachers with
assessment materials that will help schools improve the
intellectual quality of student performance in mathematics. The
booklet contains activities for Formative Assessment, Constructed
Response, and Multiple Choice. An Inventory of "Big
Ideas" (vital understanding) in Mathematics is provided.
Activities in the inventory are intended to help diagnose where
additional efforts are needed.
