The booklet of approximately 130 pages
is designed to improve the intellectual quality of student

booklet to enhance their classroom instruction and to assess their
students' performance. The booklet contains assessment activities
for each of the six content strands outlined in the Michigan
Curriculum Framework for K-12. The booklet consists of three types
of assessment: Performance Based, Constructed Response and Short
Answer/Selected Response (i.e., multiple choice, true-false,
matching and fill in the blank). The activities were developed
from lessons taught by teachers and field-tested. Many of the results from the field-testing
are incorporated within this edition, all will be included in
later editions. All assessment tasks are coded to display the
relationship to the strands, standards and benchmarks of the
Michigan Mathematics Curriculum Framework Project. The Appendix
contains a copy of the Mathematics Content Standards and Working
Draft Benchmarks for easy reference. The booklet includes a
chapter containing sample-writing assignments.
