The Popcorn Activity #5 - Part 1, Activity 5

This lesson is adapted from a lesson in Engineering Data Analysis, Ford Motor Company

Key Purposes:

  1. Students can compare two data sets using measures of central tendency and spread, and by using boxplots.
  2. Students can plot data over time, identify when a process is under control, and state the value of monitoring processes to achieve quality control.
  3. Students can explain the significance of trends over time in a process and why randomization is necessary in experimentation.
