A 2x2x2 Experiment #15 -
Part 2, Activity 8
Key Purposes:
- Students can design, run, and analyze a
three-factor, two-level experiment. This includes
stating the seven questions to be addressed and the
seven hypotheses to be tested.
- Students can represent the main effects and three
two-factor interactions on a set of two acrylic cubes
and on paper.
- Students can discuss the findings using acrylic
cubes.

This lesson uses The Helicopter experiment,
which is adopted from an activity developed
by David Fluharty, ALCOA FUJIFURA, LTD.

above images. There are two different clips
demonstrating the Helicopter Experiment. File size may
be large, please allow enough time for the download.

Description:
A 2x2x2 Experiment. The
graphical approach is still used here, but two cubes are
necessary, one for the C factor at low, and one for C
factor at high. We only had one group do this, on their
own, last year. This year we hope to get all the students
to this point.
