Paraprofessional Training and Testing

Certain paraprofessionals are required to be certified, as a result of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation.  A helpful worksheet to determine if a paraprofessional needs to be certified can be found at

This is the website for ETS that developed and scores the tests. The site has information on purchasing the study materials. If you are interested in taking the test using the pencil/paper format, the site contains information for registering for the test. If you wish to take the computer version , please register on the MISD web site.

Schedule of Workshops and Testing Dates 
Macomb ISD offers training for those individuals interested in taking the ETS Parapro Assessment. MISD also offers the computerized version of the ETS Parapro Assessment for paraprofessionals wishing to take this test. Interested individuals can sign up for the training workshop and/or the test.  Choose VIEW BY INTEREST, and then choose STAFF DEVELOPMENT.
