About the Staff:

Serra...
I have been a teacher at Glen Peters
School since June 2002. I have my
Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne
State University, majoring in
Cognitive Impairment and a Master of
Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood
Education from Saginaw Valley
University. I also did my student
teaching here at Peters!
I taught in
an SCI classroom at Peters for 2 1\2
years and have been in this
classroom since March 2006.
Linda and I
have been working together since
2005, in both classrooms.

I have been working as a
paraprofessional in Special
Education since September 2000. I earned my state certification as a
Special Education Paraprofessional. Annually, I train in the following
certification areas:
CPR, AED, Diastat, and CPI. In addition,
I take part in many school wide
activities and belong to several
committees, including:
publishing the Peters Post, creating
classroom web pages, and assisting
in establishing professional
development days.

Students:
We have 15
students in our classroom. There
are 11 boys and 4 girls.

range is 13-16 years old.
