Our Curriculum...
The curriculum focuses on
functional skills that
prepare our students to make
the transition from school
to work and community
living. Based on the Macomb County TMI/SMI
Community-Referenced Curriculum Guide
- Published in 1992
- Designed for students whose impairments require a program different
from the standard academic program
Aim of the curriculum is to help each student
become a
viable member of the community
- Self management/home living, vocational, recreation/leisure, general
community and functional academics are areas of emphasis
- Framework provides for ongoing home, school, and community
partnerships that best support each student's abilities.
