Description: We will
cover the “Scheduling
Process” in PowerSchool,
including a timeline for
scheduling tasks and
calendars to schedule the
specific tasks. We will
cover:
- important dates
- preliminary tasks
(curriculum review,
etc.)
- Auto-Scheduler setup
for new year (courses,
teachers, rooms,
students, current school
schedule)
- student course
request entry
- tally requests
- determining sections
- determining staffing
- options for building
a new schedule or using
the current schedule
- loading students
into the schedule
- moving to
“Live-Side” Walk-in
scheduling for the new
school year.
We will also be
discussing the information
that Liaisons and Building
Schedulers will need in
January, 2012 in order to
begin scheduling for the new
school year. We will need to
know the dates (preliminary)
for the school year, what
Terms (semesters,
trimesters, quarters) you
will use, dates for the
Terms (semesters,
trimesters, quarters), how
many periods in a regular
school day, and how many
days in your rotation.

through the PowerScheduling
Process (PowerScheduler:
Scheduling Series 2012-2013)

They will be expected to
attend the Scheduling Series
