Pine Grove is the former home of Michigan Governor Moses Wisner. The Greek-Revival style home is filled with authentic clothing, implements and furnishings. On the 4 acre estate, you'll also find a one-room school house, smoke house, root cellar and summer kitchen.

Home of Eliel Saarinen, the Saarinen House has been restored to the original beauty of the 1930's. Eliel was the residential architect of Cranbrook from 1925-1950 and the President of the Academy of Art from 1932-1946. Children will enjoy the use of natural details - - have them particularly watch for peacocks in displays.

In this restored 1896 Victorian home, you'll learn much about the history of Wyandotte as you examine its four levels. Families will especially enjoy the living history events during September's Heritage Days.

This home of Henry and his wife Clara Ford was supplied with electricity by a six-story powerhouse on the banks of the Rouge River. The residence includes 56 rooms of which only 6 were bedrooms. One of the guest rooms was designed especially for one of Henry's good friends and frequent guests, Thomas Edison. Outside, families can take a self-guided tour of the 72 acre grounds.

Lawrence Fisher had this 52,000 square foot home built in 1927 at a cost of $2 million. He lived here as a bachelor for almost 30 years until he married his childhood sweetheart at age 57. He and his wife both died 4 years later and the home was eventually sold to the Krishna Consciousness followers who now own it.

This was the home of Edsel and his wife Eleanor Ford. The 60 room, 30,000 square foot Cotswold-style mansion was completed in 1929. Most of the rooms are exactly as they were when the Fords lived there. Children will particularly enjoy the "Play House" which was a gift from Mrs. Henry Ford I to her only granddaughter, Josephine.

Enjoy a 110 room, 80,000 square-foot Tudor-revival mansion built in1926-29. This former residence of Oakland University founders, Alfred and Matilda Dodge Wilson (widow of auto pioneer John Dodge) exemplifies early 20th century American industrialists' lavish lifestyles. It is renowned for fine craftsmanship, exquisite architectural detailing, grand scale. Kids won't want to miss the Knole Cottage, the Dodge children's playhouse!

Cranbrook House was built in the early 1900's and designed in the style of an English manor house. The original owners were George and his wife Ellen Scripps Booth. The home and surrounding gardens sit on approximately forty acres.
