Visit the newly renovated Institute of Science where there's more to explore than ever before! The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is an interactive science museum for all ages, featuring more than 250 exhibits, science demonstrations and special events. The museum expanded and quadrupled its size in October '99.

This hands-on-museum is designed so kids of all ages can experience the physical and natural sciences firsthand. An excellent selection ofinteractive science-related toys is offered by the museum. The museum is housed in a 100-year-old building on the banks of the Grand River across from the Lansing Center.

This space museum has artifacts and exhibits from all major U.S. space programs, including the Apollo 9 spacecraft, moon rocks, astronaut suits, a Mercury-Redstone rocket, Challenger Memorial, unmanned spacecraft, a Gemini trainer, and more! See movies, videos, and NASA broadcasts in the main theater. The museum showcases a great cross-section of U.S. space programs and Michigan's role in them.
