Care and Use

We need to be vigilant about careful use of the Starlab, require that all users are certified, and use the new inventory process.

    • NEVER touch the face of the cylinders
    • Use only water and maybe mild (not abrasive powders) detergent to clean the surface.
    • DO NOT let students or untrained associates handle the projector or cylinders.
    • Please supervise students entering and assembling and avoid sitting against the STARLAB wall.
    • All users are reminded that they must purchase their own pointers.
    • Please keep the FAN clear of dust.
    • Use cotton gloves to handle the cylinders (or use rubber gloves that are in your school "infirmary").
    • Use duct tape to repair tears as they develop and use patches for pinholes.
    • Please inspect ALL STARLAB parts and cylinders upon arrival and report in writing any damages.
