March 20, 2017 - 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Event Description

This workshop will focus on content and processes that will assist teachers in successfully using classroom assessments to promote learning.  Assessments are the primary feedback mechanism in the educational process. They provide feedback to students on how well they are meeting standards, to teachers on how well students are learning, and to administrators on the effectiveness of their programs. Analyzing this data, in turn, stimulates changes and improvements that promote continuous learning. Data used to inform teachers of student learning empowers teachers and students to improve the quality of learning.  This workshop will address:

•  How to develop & use quality classroom assessment
•  How to use formative and summative assessment appropriately
•  How different achievement targets are most appropriately assessed
