Lifelong Learners - Oral Health and Overall Wellness: Making the Connection

October 24, 2018 - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Event Description

Today’s seniors face many health challenges: Diabetes, Heart and Respiratory Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Cancer to name a few.  Multiple medications cause dry mouth and increase risk for tooth decay. Missing teeth and loose dentures make healthy food choices difficult to chew and digest often leading to acid reflux.

Make the connection how improved oral health can help you manage chronic diseases and how modern dental treatments can improve your overall health, chewing comfort, quality of life, and help you Smile Again With Confidence!

Dr. Sophia P. Masters is a general dentist in Clinton Township, Michigan and adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She is a lifelong learner who enjoys staying current through continuing education, values trusting relationships with patients, and passionate about helping them improve their quality of life through the art and science of dentistry.
