Adding Sounds

On card two, I added a sound that will play when you visit the card and/or when you click on the speaker icon. To add a sound you must have a microphone and your computer must be able to play back sound.

Adding a recorded sound:

  1. From the Insert Menu choose Movies and Sound/Record Sound.
  2. The Record Sound Dialogue box has three buttons. They are from left to right:
    1. Play
    2. Stop
    3. Record
  3. Prepare what you are going to say.
  4. Click on the Record Button.
  5. Speak.
  6. Click the Stop button.
  7. Play the recording by clicking on the play button. If you don't like what you hear record it again.
  8. Give the sound a name.
  9. Click OK.
  10. A small speaker Icon will appear. Position the icon where you want it by dragging it.
  11. IMPORTANT: Your sound will only play in the Slide Show mode.

Playing the sound when you arrive at the slide

  1. From the Format Menu choose Slide Transition.
  2. In the lower right hand corner choose the name of the sound you recorded.
  3. Click Apply.
