Strategic Writing Instruction for
Teachers (SWIFT)
The need for improved
writing proficiency among high
school students is significant.
Writing well is not just an option
for students---it is a necessity.
Along with reading comprehension,
writing skill is a predictor of
academic success and a basic
requirement for participation in
higher education or civic life.
Teachers who attend this training
will receive a best practice
instructional approach to assist
students with “Writing to Learn” and
“Learning to Write.” This user
friendly approach will be easily
transferable into practice by middle
and high school teachers. |
