*NEW TEACHER ACADEMY PARTICIPANTS: Registering for this workshop automatically enrolls you in the 2019-20 Macomb New Teacher Academy. First, second and third year teachers are welcome to attend as many 2019-20 Academy workshops as they choose for a yearly fee of $125.00. In the spring of 2020, Macomb County districts will be billed $125.00 per teacher participating in the Academy. Please check with your district regarding payment of this fee (whether you are responsible for payment). PLEASE NOTE (New Teacher Academy Participants): We cannot accept credit cards for payment. This 2-day workshop presents an overview of the best instructional practices as found in the research literature and then shows how these practices can be implemented in the classroom. Specific types of knowledge such as vocabulary, terms and phrases, details, generalizations, and principles are applied to instructional practices, and a model for sequencing instructional techniques is also examined.
