Tutoring is one of the most effective means of lifting student achievement. Research has shown that well-designed tutoring programs can be very effective in improving children's academic growth. Structured tutoring models with high quality implementation allow tutors to personalize learning experiences tailored to specific student needs. The effects of tutoring programs tend to be the strongest among earlier grades.
The goal of the MISD Tutoring Partnership is to maximize academic potential, build self-esteem/motivation and ensure the academic success of Macomb County students.
This training provides tutors with quality training, student materials, supervision, and ongoing support as they implement instruction with fidelity.
There will be separate trainings for Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-5. Please see our flyer for training you would like to attend.
