Target Audience: New Teachers (1-3 years)

Join us for this great opportunity to hear directly from the author, Berit Gordon! This two-hour virtual session, which will cover Chapters 6-10, is for new teachers in the 2025-2026 school year (Chapters 1-5 were covered during the October 2nd Session - Attendance at that session is not necessary to attend this session). This session will address the needs and challenges common to new teachers, and offer practical strategies to help them problem-solve in ways that benefit them and their students. You will receive guidance for implementing strategies after the sessions.

Once you are signed up on our website, we will send you additional directions to register and receive the Zoom link.

Any no shows/late cancellations will be charged $15.00 per session.  Please cancel in writing no later than 7 days prior to the workshop start date.  No phone cancellations are permitted.

Registering for this workshop automatically enrolls you in the 2025-26 Macomb New Teacher Academy.

First, second, and third year teachers are welcome to attend as many 2025-26 New Teacher Academy workshops as they choose for a yearly fee of $150.00.  In the spring of 2026, Macomb County districts will be billed $150.00 per teacher participating in the Academy.  Please check with your district regarding payment of this fee (whether you are responsible for payment).

The NTA will be providing a light meal before each afternoon workshop.  In case of special dietary needs, participants should provide their own meals.  Adjustments will not be made in menu selections or registration fees.

This workshop is not eligible for Professional Development Funds.
