Event Description
Audience: EL Teachers
Purpose: This network provides EL teachers from across the county an opportunity to share resources, learn about current trends and deepen their understanding of research based practices to best serve their diverse learners.
In collaboration, ELD Participants will: Engage in half-day sessions of Professional Learning each month from 8:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M.
Topics Include:
Collaborating with and supporting classroom teachers
Collecting and analyzing data around ELs
Supporting Long-term English Learners
Language Focused Family Engagement/Advocacy
Supporting English Learners with Essentials Instructional Practices
ELs with Suspected Disabilities
Culturally Responsive Teaching
Appropriate accommodations and grading considerations for ELs
Sharing and exploration of resources
