Middle Grade Science Teachers - 5th-9th Grades
Science and Stewardship in the Heart of the Great Lakes workshop is inspired by the Project WET learning materials and will include a complimentary Project Wet Book, various lesson plans and activity sets. Participants may qualify for a materials stipend and Metro Parks pass after completion of coursework. Presenter Erin Parker is the Community Outreach Interpretive Services Supervisor for the Huron-Clinton Metropark. Erin started her science career as a classroom teacher with 8 years as a high school earth and environmental science teacher and science department chair. Her focus is now on connecting teachers and students to place-based, hands-on, inquiry-focused exploration of our local natural and urban ecosystems.
