Course Offerings

    Looking for ways to use educational technology with your students or staff effectively? The MADE Blended Learning Series of virtual courses is a great place to start and is FREE to Macomb County educators. The 24-25 Series consists of four self-paced courses, and participants may choose to complete any or all of them. These virtual courses can be taken anytime and anywhere using Schoology and will be accessible from August 28, 2024 to August 10, 2025. Coursework support will be provided by the MISD IT Consultants and MADE Instructors. Participants successfully completing the coursework for any course will be eligible to submit an application for SCECHs.

    Participants will have 14 months to complete four self-paced online courses and four digital artifacts to support their blended learning growth. Courses open June 1, 2024 and close August, 2025. Start anytime and work at your own pace, however, to get the most out of this year's networking opportunities, please register by August 15, 2024. In addition to coursework support from the MISD IT Consultants and MADE Instructors, participants will have opportunities to network with fellow educators during four after-school sessions (dates listed below). This program is FREE.

    The Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD), in collaboration with the Macomb Community Action (MCA) – Head Start, is hosting a FREE PreK family event. Preschool children will have the opportunity to experience A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRESCHOOLER by participating in several fun and engaging educational activities focusing on all areas of development and learning. Enrollment specialists will be available to answer questions and assist families in finding a high-quality preschool program in their area and help with the enrollment process.     The Macomb Teacher Leader Program is a two-year cohort learning experience designed to develop the leadership skills of teachers in four areas: Teacher as Instructional Expert, Teaching in the 21st Century, Teacher as Team/School Leader, and Teacher as Facilitator/Mentor/Coach. A capstone project is required as part of the program completion.

The goal of the Summer Scholars Program is to strengthen literacy and math achievement for students entering grades 2-5.
