Event Description

Social Studies teachers are invited to join a new series of virtual learning networks in 2020-2021.  Each session will include new learning opportunities that follow network interests and needs and are focused on key issues including remote teaching and learning, inquiry and the C3 Framework, updated state standards, and addressing racism and bigotry in American society. Each two-hour session will be co-facilitated by MISD Social Studies Consultant Sean McBrady and social studies teacher leaders from throughout the county. Facilitators will lead whole group presentations, breakout sessions, offline learning and tasks, and feedback protocols to tackle important issues of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and the learning environment.

Location: All sessions will be virtual using Zoom (or another video conference tool)

Times:  Sessions are from 3:00-5:00pm
