Schoology is Macomb County’s newest Learning Management System, specifically designed for K-12 teachers and students. Schoology is a safe and secure online space where all class materials can be found 24/7 and assignments and grades can be accessed. Many teachers look at Schoology as a “one-stop shop” for communicating with students, parents, and peers through the use of the course, group, and resource features. This course will cover the basics of Schoology. Topics include login and navigation information and how to build a basic course in the system. Find out how Schoology can be used to deliver feature rich content, including audio and video created right from your computer. Learn about creating groups for sharing resources and information across the hall or across the district. We will explore parent access, assessments, and more as time permits. Schoology is not just for secondary teachers. Many elementary teachers are also drawn to the platform as well. Ease of use is one of the most noteworthy features of the system, so no experience is needed to join the course. Directions will be sent for logging in to the Schoology system several days before the course date.
